  • Serve for at least two-years on the Steering Committee, represented by APRU member universities from around the Pacific Rim.
  • Provide leadership, discuss the progress and implementation of the APRU-SCL Research Collaborations, Student Experiential Opportunities, and Societal Impact and to discuss concerns and obstacles as they arise.
  • Bring forward ideas and plans concerns for enhancing and growing the network of the APRU-SCL.
  • Attend the APRU-SCL Conference at least every other year.
  • Participate in APRU-SCL meetings and events including the All Leadership Meetings, Steering Committee Meetings, and Working Group meetings.
  • Identify prospecting funding opportunities to create and impact of the Hub and its activities.
  • Actively participate in communications (email, online meetings, in person meeting, etc.) to ensure decisions on governance, funding and strategy are taken collectively and acted upon.
  • Steering Committee members who are unable to participate (attend online meetings, attend annual conference, participate in a working group, engage in email discussion) will be asked to recommit to participation or to step down and nominate a colleague to represent their university.
