GSI offers a completely furnished, 2 bedroom, one-bath guest apartment in London for University of Oregon faculty and staff doing research or program development in London. Located in Bloomsbury, the flat is housed on the top floor of the GEO London Center. This historic building was built in 1721; the flat was added in approximately 1890. It is very central and within walking distance to many sites, including the British Museum, SOAS, Historic Museum Tavern, West End Theatre District, etc. There are dozens of cafes, restaurants, and pubs located within a few blocks of the building. Flat Details:
• 2 bedrooms (each room has a double bed).
• 1.5 bathrooms, including both a shower and bathtub.
• Spacious living room, with TV.
• Kitchen.
• Desk with printer.
• Washing machine/dryer combo.
Flat Includes:
• Furniture.
• Bed linens and towels.
• Basic kitchen supplies.
• Hair dryer and iron.
• Wifi.

Weekly rent: $770.
*Payment can be made by credit card or departmental JV.
Some Notes About the Apartment:
• It is located up 4 steep flights of stairs and has no elevator.
• The building houses several offices and classrooms and is busy during the work week. On evenings and weekends, it is generally empty. There are no other residential flats in the building, though most neighboring buildings have top-floor apartments.
• There is no air conditioning, which is generally not a problem, but it can get warm during the occasional London heat wave in the summer.
• During WWII, a bomb fell at the end of the street, shifting the foundation, and resulting in a very wonky staircase.
• While the flat is fully furnished, renters are responsible for consumables such as food, soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, etc.
Reservation Process:
- Reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served, rolling basis.
- We accept reservations only up to 6 months in advance.
- Minimum stay: 3 days.
- Maximum stay: one month.
Cancelation policy:
- Guests may cancel their reservation up to one week before with no cancellation fee.
- For cancellations made within two weeks of the check-in date, a fee equivalent to one night's stay will be charged.
- For cancellations made within 24 hours of the check-in date, GSI will charge the full amount.
Please note that the London Flat is always closed for winter holidays from 12/16 to 1/24.
