Redox-Active Tetrathiafulvalenes and Photochromic Dihydroazulenes -

Design and Synthesis of Molecules for Molecular Electronics and Solar Energy Storage

Mogens Brøndsted Nielsen is Professor of organic chemistry at Department of Chemistry at the University of Copenhagen, where he heads the Center for Exploitation of Solar Energy. His current research interests cover the synthesis and characterization of π-conjugated molecules, with properties that can be switched by external stimuli and employed for molecular electronics or light-harvesting applications.  He is working on a collaborative research project with UO Professor Michael Haley.

This event is cosponsored by the Department of Chemistry.
